The Early Risk Assessment (ERA) Program has been providing women in the Calgary Zone and Southern Alberta with access to first trimester prenatal screening since 2005. This program is provided by Alberta Health Services in partnership with Alberta Precision Labs, EFW Radiology, and Medical Genetics. The mandate of this multidisciplinary program is:

“To promote the health and well‐being of pregnancy women through a collaborative and multidisciplinary prenatal risk assessment program that enables early, more accurate identification and management of pregnancies at increased risk for adverse perinatal health outcomes”

It is important to us to provide pregnant women and their partners, as well as health care providers, with accurate and easy to understand information about prenatal testing options available in Southern Alberta.
